Draw a Stickman: EPIC is a fun adventure sketching game where you must guide a stickman through puzzles and obstacles using only your drawing skills.
A test of your artistry and imagination
The concept behind Draw a Stickman: EPIC is that you're set a simple challenge and you must use all your creative juices to draw a solution. So for example, Stickman starts out on his adventure in the desert and the challenge might be to draw a cloud in order to make it rain. If you draw one that reasonably resembles a cloud, you can move on the next drawing challenge. Next you may have to chop up wood or kill some zombies so you must draw an axe. Next you may have to unlock a secret gate for which you need to draw some keys etc.
Once you've completed a stage or chapter, you must choose the narrative of the story you want to follow by selecting the path you want to follow from a storybook. There's no one narrative - you can play the game several times over and take a different path each time thus creating a different story with different challenges and puzzles. There are only 14 levels (plus one bonus level) in Draw a Stickman: EPIC but since the levels are non linear, there are plenty of different scenarios to try out before you get too bored.
There are also several hidden mini-challenges within the backdrops and scenarios of the sketching area so don't be in a big rush to complete the game.
Not easy to draw accurately - but it doesn't matter
Drawing via a mouse or touchscreen is never quite as easy as good old pencil and paper so although many of the challenges in are quite easy in Draw a Stickman: EPIC, executing them accurately isn't. However, we're talking about stickman graphics here and you're not required to draw a masterpiece - as long as it basically resembles the object you have to draw, you can move on.
In fact, it's a bit too easy to progress in Draw a Stickman: EPIC. Even if you're attempts at drawing are really bad, there's no kind of penalty or grading of your dubious artwork. It would have been better if there was some kind of quality threshold to pass because otherwise you can just scribble anything and continue.
Very basic - but that's the point
Silly but enjoyable
Draw a Stickman: EPIC is a fun game with an interesting concept and although it's a bit too easy, it will have a wide appeal, especially for kids.
Draw a Stickman: EPIC isn't going to win any prizes for graphics but with a name like Draw a Stickman: EPIC, that's not the point. The graphics are obviously stickman themed and you're not expected or required to draw anything beyond that. However, the simple graphics have a certain appeal - it's the innocent simplicity that gives Draw a Stickman: EPIC much of its appeal.
